The Frey Scientific Model 70 Jensen Oscillating Cylinder Steam Engine has an electrically heated boiler that generates steam pressure to drive the double-acting oscillating cylinder and two-speed pulley for demonstrating principles of steam energy. The heating unit is 400W and operates on 110V, and the pulley has a 1/2" bore and 5/8" stroke. The steam engine is equipped with a water gauge safety valve (pop valve), whistle, and throttle. Its base is approximately 9" square. Steam engines are used in classroom demonstrations and science projects.
