The Thunder Pot s brilliance lies in its ability to grow healthier roots by air pruning. Air pruning happens naturally when roots are exposed to air in the absence of high humidity. The roots are effectively "burned off", causing the plant to constantly produce new and healthy branching roots.
If roots are not exposed to air, they continue to grow around the container in a rootbound, constricted pattern that chokes out essential water and nutrients. By planting in a Thunder Pot grow bag, the result is a thick web of roots that are up to 50% more efficient at water & nutrient uptake and storage.
